Award Criteria

The Pinnacle of success in Model United Nations is winning an award. Delegation and delegate awards in Terenure College Model United Nations Conference are extremely coveted and every year there is significant competition for the limited amount available.

Individual Delegate Awards

Distinguished Delegate

Has shown excellent knowledge of rules and procedures, all of their topics and their countries national policies and MUN procedures.
Has interacted with a large number of delegates, showed impressive collaborative skills and has assisted other delegates.
Has submitted a resolution of a high standard.
Has debated and passed an amendment of resolution of high quality.
Has submitted multiple amendments of a high standard.
Has remained involved in debate and committee affairs throughout the duration of the conference.
Has displayed upmost respect and manners throughout the conference

Highly Commended Delegate

Has shown a very high level of knowledge of rules and procedures, the topics and their countries national policies.
Has interacted with other delegates and showed collaborative ability.
Has submitted a multitude of amendments and/or a resolution of a high quality
Has remained involved in debate and committee affairs throughout the duration of the conference.
Has displayed upmost respect and manners throughout the conference.

Best Junior Delegate

Has shown a high level of knowledge on the topics and their countries policies.
Has interacted with other delegates and showed collaborative abilities
Has submitted and debated at least one amendment or resolution.
Has made multiple speeches and stayed involved throughout the duration of committee.
Has displayed respect and appropriate actions throughout the conference.
Is in 3rd year or below.

Has showed a high level of knowledge on the topics and their countries policies.
Has interacted with other delegations and showed collaborative abilities.
Has won a significant multitude of individual delegate awards.
Has displayed respect and appropriate actions throughout the conference.

Best Delegation in General Assembly

Has showed respect and courtesy to other delegates and conference secretariat throughout General Assembly.
Has positively contributed to General Assembly.
Has brought a resolution to General Assembly.
Has made multiple speeches and/or POIs throughout General Assembly.
